More than two years ago Asbury Radio asked to see the City's Emergency Management Plan. It was a three or four inch stack of loose 8 1/2 x 11 white sheets with the names of defunct companies and deceased people to contact in the event of a disaster. The annex for evacuation plans was missing. Today, Fire Chief Kevin Keddy has steered the city's various departments to produce a fully state compliant emergency plan, which he presented in electronic file format to Asbury Radio at the recent council meeting. We thank Chief Keddy and City Manager Reidy for their leadership in this effort.
Since there are 17 components to this plan, this site will present one file at a time to give visitors a chance to review and offer comments on each aspect at their leisure.
We start with the part that involves us most - the Evacuation Plan.
