Trees Also Grow in Brooklyn

Do we have to sacrifice our trees for progress? We're not alone in that question.
Some of the most celebrated trees in literature are facing the same fate as our Bradford Pears here in Asbury Park. Where? Well, Brooklyn of course.
With bloggers watching their every move, contractors working on the renovation of the 127 year-old Brooklyn Bridge are making efforts to try to save the trees during that city's multi-year renovation. There may be some ideas for our guys, who are looking over their ideas right now. Take a look for yourself: http://beta.wnyc.org/blogs/brooklyn-bridge/2010/may/20/tree-guards/
