Response to Hinge on Dogs & Boardwalk

Thanks for your kind comment (you're very welcome) and question.
The discussion surrounding the decision to bar dogs for the summer, which is the ordinance as opposed to the practice that has allowed dogs on the boardwalk, the police asked for the moratorium. They wanted extra time to concentrate on bringing up the metered parking again and focus on eliminating nuisance crimes. "To make sure cars aren't broken into...," I have in my notes.
Another note: Joyce Skolaroff requested waste recepticals and possibly doggie waste stations be placed along Lake Avenue, where there are none now.
My 2 cents: The presence of such facilities in more places may send the message that Asbury Park is serious about respecting our environment and expecting others to as well.
